The roots of VDL Staalservice date back to 1983 when Staalservice Weert was established. In June 1993, Staalservice Weert was acquired by the VDL Groep, and in 2003, our name was changed to VDL Staalservice. Our initial activities consisted of simple operations such as cutting, bending, and punching sheet material. Over the years, various cutting methods have been added, such as oxy-fuel and plasma cutting. In 1986, the first laser cutting machine was put into operation, which was an advanced technique for that time. Through these kinds of investments, we demonstrate that we constantly work together with our customers. Since our founding, we have experienced strong growth and are no longer just a company performing simple sheet metal operations, but a business capable of producing complete welding and assembly assemblies. In 1997, VDL Staalservice moved to its current location in Weert. The company now has multiple departments, and our competencies have expanded and been strengthened with operations such as laser cutting, bending, (robot) welding, and assembly. Thanks to our broad versatility, we are proud to call ourselves a total supplier and are well known both domestically and internationally.
