United Rentals

In 2019, United Rentals, a leading American rental company specializing in fluid solutions, experienced a significant increase in demand for their fluid storage tanks. To meet this growing demand and strengthen their competitive position, they placed an order for 70 tanks with VDL Staalservice, with a strict deadline of the end of 2019.

Challenge

VDL Staalservice, originally specialized in sheet metal processing, took on this challenge. As the main contractor, we are responsible for the entire production, including coating and assembly of the tanks. This required a complete reorganization of the factory and significant investments in both people and machinery.

Thanks to an efficient production approach and close collaboration with reliable partners, both within the VDL Group and outside of it, VDL Staalservice succeeded in delivering the tanks on time. This successful collaboration not only strengthened the market position of United Rentals but also demonstrated the flexibility and capacity of VDL Staalservice to complete large projects within tight deadlines.
