New Generation VDL Citea Project

The VDL Citea is an innovative electric city bus, designed from the ground up. This modular platform is suitable for all types of buses and differs significantly from the previous diesel variant. VDL Staalservice manufactures various steel components for the VDL Citea.

The role of VDL Staalservice

When designing the bus, we considered manufacturability from an early stage. Thanks to our growing engineering capabilities, we are well placed to advise on this. We are happy to work with our customers to meet all their stringent requirements and wishes.

Production

Our additional production site in Heeze, fully equipped for welding, ensures continuous and efficient production of the components. Advanced measuring equipment guarantees that every component meets the highest specifications.

Results and Future

By applying efficiency improvements throughout this ongoing project, we can generate more and better output.
