There are few VDL Staalservice employees who know the company as well as Tjeu, who celebrated his fortieth anniversary with the Weert-based steel company last November.

From headstrong teenager to qualified Senior Skilled Welder. Tymo knows what it’s like to be an apprentice at VDL Staalservice and to grow at both personal and professional level. He takes great pride in working on a wide range of projects right up to welding armoured steel.

One person who has navigated an interesting and educational path at VDL Staalservice is Siem Dirkx. In February 2024, he started work at VDL Staalservice as a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Fontys University of Applied Sciences. And on 1 July, we welcomed our colleague Siem as Mechanical Engineer at VDL Staalservice!
